When I found myself out on the street many years ago photographing the Edinburgh Fringe. i had little knowledge that it would change my life.
The things that change your life are the people you call friends. These travellers, these performers, these thespians of the street and more.
Stickman was one of these people. I'd run into him briefly at parties held for my fringe exhibition. Chatted about photos I'd taken; although never of him. He'd collected a few shots from over the years of performers and friends and these photos now resided in his home in Canada.
In this one conversation he complimented me with one of the most wonderful tag lines ever!
"There are performers who have seen your photos, and want to come to Edinburgh, not because it's the Fringe, not because it's Edinburgh, but to be photographed by you, and you can quote me on that too."
